Class Level: LEVEL 1 – Beginner

This 2-hour beginner wheel-throwing class at Made 2 Fire is perfect for first-time potters who want to try pottery before committing to a full 6-week course, or for anyone looking to explore something new and creative.

The class focuses on the fundamentals of wheel throwing, guiding students through the process of turning a ball of clay into a basic vessel or cylinder.

Each student may keep up to two pieces, with a choice of four glaze colors. The Made 2 Fire team will handle all firing and glazing, and finished pieces will be ready for pickup in 3–4 weeks.

If you’d like to continue your clay journey, we also offer 6-week courses that dive deeper into wheel throwing techniques, including trimming, surface decoration, and glazing.

All materials and tools are provided. Aprons are available, though we recommend wearing clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting a little muddy.
